Customer and Operations Support Assistant

DO YOU LOVE DELIVERING GREAT EXPERIENCES AND MAKING THINGS HAPPEN?

We have ambitious plans to continue our growth and evolution, and we need someone with the organisation, energy and attention to detail to help keep our operations running smoothly while ensuring our customers and teams receive the very best support.

ABOUT 200 DEGREES

We are 200 Degrees Coffee, speciality coffee roasters, purveyors of unique coffee shops, unashamed coffee geeks and we’re growing fast.

Enjoying quality coffee is not just about taste; it’s also about doing all the other things the right way, and that philosophy guides every aspect of our company. We believe in being an ethical, sustainable business and treating everyone involved in our business with respect.

Our home is Nottingham, a stone’s throw from the Notts football grounds in the old industrial heartland - the birthplace of Robin Hood, Paul Smith, Raleigh bikes, and running water (1831 apparently), if that stuff interests you.

Our first coffee shop opened in central Nottingham in October 2014 and was soon winning plaudits and loyal customers. Buoyed by success we opened a second near Nottingham Station before we spread our wings across the Midlands and North. We’ve now opened our 25th shop, with several more coming soon.

We sell our hand-roasted beans in-store and online with six purpose-built Coffee Schools to help everyone drink better coffee. We also work with a range of hospitality businesses, from independent cafés to high-end bars and restaurants, supplying complete coffee packages to workplaces, garden centres and hotels.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a key part of our Operations and Customer Support teams in a growing and exciting business, where you can genuinely see the impact you make every day.

Reporting to our Office Sales Manager, the Operations & Customer Support Co-ordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring our shops, support teams and customers receive first-class service. You'll be the person who helps keep multiple moving parts organised, providing administrative support across the business while helping to deliver the 200 Degrees experience to colleagues, customers and guests.

No two days are the same. One moment you'll be supporting a new shop opening, coordinating communications or managing internal systems, and the next you'll be helping customers with orders, bookings or enquiries. You'll enjoy variety, thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in getting the details right.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting operational activity across our coffee shop estate and central teams.
  • Coordinating our weekly operational communications and newsletters.
  • Providing administrative support for product launches and new shop openings.
  • Managing internal systems including training administration and employee reward platforms.
  • Processing ancillary orders, marketing material requests and gift card orders.
  • Supporting the organisation of internal events and meetings.
  • Assisting with customer enquiries, online orders and Barista School bookings.
  • Processing wholesale orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Helping resolve customer complaints and ensuring positive outcomes.
  • Providing cover and support within the Customer Support team during holidays and peak periods.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for a highly organised and customer-focused co-ordinator who enjoys working with people and making things happen behind the scenes.

You love being the person others can depend on. You're naturally proactive, enjoy solving problems and can confidently juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the detail.

You'll be equally comfortable speaking with shop teams, senior leaders, wholesale customers and guests visiting our Roast House. Most importantly, you'll share our passion for delivering Experiences to Remember in every interaction.

You'll bring experience in administration, customer service or operational support, together with a desire to learn, develop and grow with us.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful, you will have:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience in an administrative, customer support or operational support role.
  • Good understanding of retail, hospitality or multi-site operations.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • The ability to work independently while being a supportive team player.
  • A warm, friendly and authentic approach.
  • Confidence communicating with colleagues at all levels of the business.
  • A proactive, positive and can-do attitude.
  • The ability to work effectively to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for 200 Degrees and what we stand for.

This is an office-based role at our Roast House and Head Office in Nottingham.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

On top of being part of a forward-thinking, fun and energetic team, we've got some other great benefits too:

A full-time, permanent contract.

  • Salary of £28,000 per annum.
  • A full immersion into the world of speciality coffee, and of course as much as you can drink!
  • Access to our benefits platform which offers you loads of discounts and freebies at the touch of a button.
  • 25% team discount on food and drinks (when you're not at work).
