Head of Marketing at 200 Degrees Coffee

DO YOU LOVE HOSPITALITY AS MUCH AS YOU DO MARKETING?

We have ambitious plans to continue our growth and evolution, and we need someone with the fundamental skills, energy and drive to work with us to make our dreams a reality.

ABOUT 200 DEGREES

We are 200 Degrees Coffee, speciality coffee roasters, purveyors of unique coffee shops, unashamed coffee geeks and we’re growing fast.

Enjoying quality coffee is not just about taste; it’s also about doing all the other things the right way, and that philosophy guides every aspect of our company. We believe in being an ethical, sustainable business and treating everyone involved in our business with respect.

Our home is Nottingham, a stone’s throw from the Notts football grounds in the old industrial heartland - the birthplace of Robin Hood, Paul Smith, Raleigh bikes, and running water (1831 apparently), if that stuff interests you.

Our first coffee shop opened in central Nottingham in October 2014 and was soon winning plaudits and loyal customers. Buoyed by success we opened a second near Nottingham Station before we spread our wings across the midlands and north. We’ve just opened our 25th, with several more coming soon.

We sell our hand-roasted beans in-store and online with six purpose-built Coffee Schools to help everyone drink better coffee. We also work with a range of hospitality businesses, from independent cafés to high end bars and restaurants, supplying complete coffee packages to workplaces, garden centres and hotels.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a key part the Senior Leadership Team in a growing and exciting business, where you can really see the difference you make every day.  The opportunity comes as a result of an internal promotion into the wider group (200 Degrees Coffee is part of the Caffè Nero Group).

You will work closely with our Senior Digital Marketing Manager and Communications Manager reporting into our Commercial Director. Your wide range of knowledge and skills will help us to ensure all marketing activity is considered, well managed, but retains our brand personality.

The Head of Marketing is a brand ambassador who takes will be visible across the business and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and champion our guest voice in all decision making.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional. You have experience, but also a desire to learn and grow with us to adopt new ideas. You’re dynamic, forward thinking, don’t mind a challenge, and love rolling up your sleeves.

You’ll have demonstrable experience of adding value to an organisation through delivery of a strategic marketing plan and activity to ensure the organisations message has cut through to all key audiences.

We support hybrid working but you’ll live within sensible access of our Roast House in Nottingham, and our coffee shops across the midlands and north.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful, you will have:

  • Great self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously. But also, be a brilliant team player!
  • The ability to collaborate & apply a supportive coaching style to your team.
  • Our Head Office and Roast House is based in Nottingham and you’ll live within a commutable distance. You’ll also be keen to spend out in our shops across the midlands and north.
  • You can get stuff done! – You’ll be the tenacious character that can help sort out the varied and constant daily challenges that come with running a multi-site, multi-pillar, hospitality business.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

On top of being part of a forward thinking, fun and energetic team, we’ve got some other great benefits too:

  • A full-time, permanent contract with a competitive salary dependent on experience and commensurate with the importance this position will have in our business.
  • A full immersion into the world of speciality coffee, and of course as much as you can drink!
  • Access to our benefits platform which offers you loads of discounts and freebies at the touch of a button.
